Sometimes I wonder if anyone ever reads the posts, I never see any response to most of them. I don't mean to sound ugly about it but I have posted a few things and sometimes quite a few poeople read it but no communication. I ask if the Show n Go was still on for Oct.6th because I have invited several friends that want to bring cars up and I am hustleing to get my Corvette ready also but there was some talk that the date might change but there has been no response to my post.
I asked weeks ago if anyone read HotRod Magazine and over 130 have read it and I can't believe out of that many gearheads no one reads it. I was kind of proud that after spending over two years in a wheelchair that I have set three landspeed records since last Oct. and an article in the July HotRod started off about me and ended about me.
Lee was brave enough early last year to meet me and my family on a Saturday morning and do ride along passes with me and right a letter for me about my car controll, reflexes etc. to send with letters from my Doctors along with my entry paper work, and I have kept in touch with him and I occassionly see how MRS. Otto Timms is doing because she put Lee and I in touch and drove up to the track that morning and grasiously visited with my family.
I appollogize for sounding rude but what about the date?

It should be the 6th . Show-N-Go's are always held on the first Saturday. I'll try to contact BB again today and make sure.

Have fun guys. But since the show & go, And the drag bash, are on the same day. I had to choose between the two. So I will be at the dragbash. Wish I could have come to both.

Hey RedVega, don't know if I talked to you since April but I set two more landspeed records at the Ohio Mile in my 5700 lb. S Silverado. Best speed was 134 with a constant 25 mph wind hitting me at a quartering angle in the drivers front fender and door. I really think Iwould have ran 137+or- without the wind, that would have been a 15 mph improvement over the first pass I made last Sept. I was mentioned twice in an article in HotRod magazine in July and they had a picture of my truck going through the speed traps in last months Bonneville Racing News with a nice caption, did you get your copy. I am deciding now what other modifications I am going to make before next April. Then I take my Corvette to the speed shop tommorrow afternoon for phase one of performance modifications.
I am going to bring my truck to the show n go to see how much improvement 63 hp will help in the 1/8 mile.
I will run you like you think we did at Dallas fourty years ago if you will spot me + 4 seconds!
I am thankful to the man above for the kind of car year I have had considering after being in a wheelchair for two years and switching my walker for my custom walking stick just last year in July.
Hope to see everyone in a few weeks.
